VICTIM ADVOCATE

My story is one of learning, community, and service to others.  I graduated from Black Hills State University in 2022 after enjoying my studies in Psychology, Education, and Theatre. Throughout my seven years in Spearfish, I dedicated my time to working as a theatre technician, actor, youth theatre director, residential counselor, and finally an 8th grade English teacher. After teaching and volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), I completed an international teaching contract in Melbourne, Australia. In short, I love learning, sharing knowledge, and laughing with others.

Outside of work, you’ll find me on a hike, in the theatre, or spending time with my wonderful partner.

As the newest Victim Advocate at the Gillette Abuse Refuge Foundation, I am deeply humbled by the expertise, compassion, and service my colleagues bring to our town. I feel committed to our mission of empowering, healing, and supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence to achieve lifelong safety and stability.
