Tatyana Walker

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Everything I do is driven by purpose, compassion, and a deep love for this community that I call home. I have been serving the people of Campbell County for over 25+ years. During my 22+ years at the Y.E.S. House, my focus was on helping children and families thrive. I had the privilege of working alongside dedicated employees and local partners to create real change in our community. I helped launch prevention and treatment programs that made a lasting impact, secured 20 acres of land, and oversaw the construction of the new campus.

Now my journey has taken me to another incredible nonprofit – G.A.R.F., the agency that empowers survivors of abuse to pursue stability and embrace healing. Leading G.A.R.F. has enabled me to remodel the shelter, implement in-house mental health therapeutic services, and enhance our overall programs by integrating research-based best practices. Providing high-quality services, thinking outside the box, and creating meaningful change has always been my mission.

Outside of work, I am a proud mom of two amazing kids. I’m passionate about the arts, I love spending time in my garden, and I enjoy spending time in nature. I also have a deep appreciation for learning about diverse cultures and the stories they tell.
